Podtrificus Totalus is a Harry Potter read-along podcast done by two fans, Cassie and Joe. For each episode, we read and discuss a chapter from the books, making our way through J.K. Rowling’s beloved saga. We welcome readers new and old to join us on our journey!

As some of you know, I used to do a weekly podcast about a series I had a waning interest in – and we really didn’t talk about that series all that often. But I loved the conversations we had, the challenges of producing a podcast, and sharing ideas with the world (however small that listener base might be). And so I browbeat my boyfriend into starting a podcast with me about something we both loved: Harry Potter.
We have had a few production snags along the way, the biggest being a year and a half break we (unintentionally) took in the middle of the first book. Turns out it’s dumb to start a weekly podcast right before your senior year of college! Since we returned, though, we’ve kept to a mostly regular schedule, with the exception of a (planned, but still sorta long) gap between the end of book one and starting Chamber of Secrets.
