I’ve been watching through more Bon Appetit as I’ve been doing some cleaning today, and just got hit with a whole 45 minute ad. It was thankfully skippable, but that’s still ridiculous

Started watching Dimension 20’s Fantasy High series, on recommendation from someone I follow on Twitter. It’s some super fun DnD! I also started Star Trek: Voyager last week, and I’m looking forward to boldly going through some more of it this week.

Fire Emblem Heroes started its third anniversary celebration today, so I’m stockpiling Orbs for the upcoming Shadows of Valentia Valentines-themed banner because Alm and Celica Duo Unit I’m gonna cry you guys

I’ve also got an audition for a play tomorrow—I’m fully expecting not to get cast, since there’s only one male role and I think I’ve got too much of a baby face for it—but hey, it’s some practice auditioning!

The Bon Appetit ads are really frequent and annoying. I would get tons of ads for colon cancer screenings, which is super fucked up considering that my grandmother was diagnosed with it a few months ago. I don’t need reminders every time I watch my fluffy cooking show, Google.

I started making my way through The Kill Count series on YouTube. I’m a horror fan, and I really enjoy how the host has styled the show. His summaries of the films are entertaining and hilarious. I also enjoy how he goes into behind the scenes details, which apparently is a newer feature, so I’m not so ready to go into the back catalog.

We haven’t started rehearsals for my one man show (that won’t be until March) and I’m trying to figure out what other things I need to figure out. Right now, I’m thinking about the lighting of the show. I’m currently inspired by “Inside Out”, borrowing the emotion colors for certain moments (yellow for happy moments, blue for sad). Maybe it’s a bit on the nose?

Break a leg on your audition. Just believe in your abilities!

This week has been a real bummer for me. I’ve been working on two huge papers and generally big time stressed about upcoming job applications/interviews and finishing my research project. I haven’t been sleeping well, I skipped a meeting on Wednesday, and I haven’t done my Ring Fit since the weekend – before this, I was pretty good about every other day.

I’m almost done with the last paper (that’s due this week… more to come) at least. Really looking forward to a lazy weekend indoors given the snow that’s supposed to hit tonight. A snow day tomorrow would be rad.

I watched the Birds of Prey movie yesterday and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the storytelling of the movie and the fact that it didn’t hold back its punches.
