I finished the books for my research project tonight! Well, sort of. There was one I read like 30 pages of, knew it wouldn’t fit, and skipped over. But still, I’m done reading! The last was This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp. Fitting, right?

Gonna focus on my interview on Tuesday (heavy breathing) then start writing. Maybe the writing will be a good distraction from waiting for results.

Last year on a whim I actually picked up a short story anthology that they edited! It’s called Unbroken: 13 Stories Starring Disabled Teens and I really enjoyed it!

Recently I joined the official Discord server for a visual novel I really like, and in churning out original character content for the server, I’ve done the most actual fanfiction writing I’ve done in a while. With any luck, I can channel some of that focus this week into some of my existing WIPs, lol.

Also, this weekend might be the beginning of my first foray into DMing for Dungeons & Dragons—some of my IRL friends have expressed interest in playing, and I’m always interested in playing, so I figured that if this was gonna happen I was probably gonna have to be the DM, lol. So I might have them all over for a character creation session this Friday or Saturday!

I’m coming in for the second round of interviews! :muscle: It’ll be teaching a demo lesson, which can be hard, but it’s one step closer!!!

Thanks for the rec! I’ll definitely pick that up. I didn’t love This Is Where It Ends (it’s hard to love a book about school shootings), but I know she is disabled and a big advocate for disabled people, so I can see this being very powerful. I’m always looking for short stories, too!

I’m sure you’ll do fine, but good luck!

Given that I’m home sick for the third day in a row, I’ve been working on some additions to my apartment - we moved in in November but life got crazy busy and we finally got around to going to Ikea last weekend. Furniture successfully assembled, so now I’m doing some decorating to make things look less boring.

My plan right now is to build up a terrain base and attach it to some bookends. I’m hoping to finish up by this weekend, but being sick makes me so tired. :pensive:
